Florence C. James

Florence C. James Pinconning, Michigan age 85, loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Medilodge of Sterling with her family at her side following a lingering illness. She was born in Standish Township on May 27, 1937 to the late Clifford & Mary (Zielen) Biskner. She married the love of her life Orvel S. “Cutt” James in Sterling, Michigan on August 18, 1956. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2016. Florence joined her loving husband on Sunday to continue their heavenly journey for rides, hunting, trapping, fishing, camping and having picnics but most of all now being able to to spiritually be with their family.

Surviving are their children, Kathleen (Eugene) Yacks, JoAnn James, David (Pamela) James and Kimberley James, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; her siblings Ray & Carolyn Biskner, Robert “Bob” Biskner and Ronald “Ron” Biskner and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter Sandra James, a son Jeremy James, granddaughter Melissa Osier, siblings Paul Biskner, Clifford Biskner, Ruth Bassett and Catherine Wachowiak.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1 pm from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home, Pinconning, with Mrs. Yvette Chisholm presiding with burial in Pinconning Township Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Friday from 11 am until 1 pm. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at the Medi Lodge of Sterling for the compassion and care given to Florence and her family.
