Lewis C. Stuhr

Lewis C. Stuhr, age 73, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 24, 2024. He was born April 16, 1950, to the late Alvin & Mary Jane (Labo) Stuhr in Bay City, Michigan. Lewis was a proud Army Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam war, retired from Northern Tube after 30 years of service, and from GM in 2014. He enjoyed fishing, mud bogging, camping, bowling, and loved spending time with his family. Lewis married Charlene Ruse on March 22, 1969, celebrating 54 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife Charlene; children: Lisa (Tim) Dixon, Keith Stuhr, Heidi (Scott) Meyers; grandchildren: Jodie (Ryan) Buechler, Keara (Jon) Asel, Brandon, Katana, Tyler, Sadie; great-grandchildren: Madisyn, Jordan, his father-in-law and mother-in-law; Robert & Elberta Engerer; siblings: Denny (Trena) Stuhr, Lester (Jeanne Bis) Stuhr, Janice (Tony) Moon, Darlene Reinhardt, Joyce McNeil, sister-in-law; Norma Holbrook. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Ann.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 am at Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding, with cremation to follow. Friends and family may visit at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Pinconning Chapel on Thursday, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. And on Friday Lewis will lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers please consider Hope Lutheran Church.
