Restaurants Ordered to Close for Dining In *updated*

Governor Whitmer’s Monday order for bars, restaurants, gyms, theaters, and other entertainment venues had local businesses scrambling to make some major decisions: whether to keep their kitchens open to service take-out customers, and whether to offer deliveries. Although all that the Journal spoke to were concerned for their employees, the Governor’s order gave them no option except closure of their dining rooms.

The Journal contacted the restaurants in the Pinconning and Linwood area, and as of Tuesday morning, the following businesses planned to remain open. Hours and menus are subject to change. Those that offer delivery have limited delivery areas. Most restaurants have Facebook pages that are updated frequently. Business owners we spoke to recommended ordering online if available to avoid clogged phone lines. Finally, remember that servers depend on tips for the majority of their wages, and tip generously.
