Alice K. Rodak
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Alice Karen Rodak (Dubay), age 84, passed away peacefully Thursday August 15, 2024, with family by her side. She was born to Lena (Howden) and Ferdinand Dubay and stepfather Oliver Grumbley in Michigan on July 1, 1940.
Alice is survived by her loving husband Thomas Eugene Rodak of 65 years. Daughters: Annette (Kurt) Lee, Colleen (Danny) Besore, and Dianna (Gary) Roper. Grandchildren: Amber and Autumn Lee; Aubrey, Ashley, Olivia, and Jay Roper. Sister Dianna Fogelsonger. Lifelong friend Jeanette Arquette. She is predeceased by her brothers Jerome Dubay, Roger Dubay, and Irving Dubay.
Alice was an active and devout member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. Alice’s kind and gentle spirit brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved her. Alice’s memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 11 am from Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. Fr. Matthew Federico presiding with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Family greeted friends on Monday, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, Alice lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of mass.
