Jean Ann (Scharmach) LaFramboise

Jean Ann (Scharmach) LaFramboise, age 64, of Bay City, formerly of Pinconning, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 7, 1958, to the late Donna (Pieper) Larsen and Dr. Frank Scharmach. She was predeceased by stepfather, Alfred Larsen. She grew up in Pinconning, Michigan and often shared memories of her childhood. She enjoyed trips to Mackinac Island, Frankenmuth and had traveled to Paris, France with her mother. Jean enjoyed bowling and had been on many bowling teams throughout the years. She enjoyed feeding the birds, reading, shopping, spending time with friends, and trying new recipes. Above all, her greatest joy were her cats, Marshall and Myla.

Jean was a graduate of Pinconning High School, class of 1977. Jean worked at Brennan Marine Sales in Bay City, Michigan for many years where she met very special friends: Beth Brennan Tarkowski, Dan Sturtz, and especially, Gregg Katt. Gregg and Jean shared birthdays and Gregg has always been there for Jean. A heartfelt Thank You to these special friends for their care and compassion given to Jean.

Jean is survived by her loving cats, Marshall and Myla, cousins in Sebewaing, Michigan and Adrian, Minnesota and lifelong friends Lisa Ritz, Wendy Cooper and Marilyn Sturtz. We all will miss her stories and her laughter. Gone too soon, but she will never be forgotten, as she lives on through memories and our joyous times together.

Cremation has taken place per Jean’s wishes and there will not be a service. Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery in Lismore, Minnesota alongside her mother. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Shelter Angels Inc. PO Box 264, Linwood MI 48634 shelterangelsinc@gmail.com
