Kenneth R. Kowalczyk

So Long folks, I’m going to the Lord’s House!

Ken’s fight with cancer for 9 years came to an end on March 7, 2021, with his wife, children, and grandchildren by his bedside, No more pain. Ken was that one in a million husband, I will miss him so much. He was a very caring, loving & generous father, grandfather, great-grandfather. He never knew the word No to any of us. He was a K-C member for many years with Council #2986. He retired in December 2000, as a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local 324. He loved his job and was so proud to be a Union member. In his free time, he liked going to the casino’s, mud bogging, sand drags with his International Scouts. He was always faithful to the Detroit Tigers. His favorite times were spent with our family, especially at the Holiday’s and many birthday’s. The Holiday’s were always at our house, Ken loved having a house full, the little great-grand kids made them so special. He enjoyed spending time with his sister and 2 brothers.

Kenneth “Ken” R. Kowalczyk, age 83, of Pinconning, Michigan, was born on June 8, 1937, to the late John & Rose (Wrona) Kowalczyk in Detroit, Michigan. He married Shirley (Switala) on October 1, 1960, over 60 years ago...he never missed an anniversary. Ken is survived by his loving wife Shirley, son Kenneth (Joni) Kowalczyk II, daughters; Kelly (Jeff) Koth, and Kimberly Calkins.
