It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marcine Katherine Brazeau, who passed away on September 21, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on September 29, 1934, in Bay City, Michigan to Stanley and Cecelia Resmer. Marcine grew up and raised her family in Pinconning, Ml. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband, Fred Brazeau, and a devoted mother to her seven children, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Marcine Brazeau lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking, crocheting, knitting, and doing word searches. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends using old recipes from her French and Polish heritage. Marcine was devoted to our Lord and her church. Marcine was deeply moved and motivated by several pilgrimage trips to Mexico City and Medjugorje, Bosnia where apparitions of the Virgin Mary appeared. She dedicated much of her life to prayer and supporting her church and community. She volunteered at Community Clothing for twenty years and founded Noah’s Ark at St. Michael Parish ten years ago. Marcine was instrumental in starting and servicing Divine Mercy and Adoration at St. Michael. She was a generous soul active with Prayer Shawl, knitting shawls supplied to residents at assisted living centers and in her community. Marcine spent her last year at Colonnades Assisted Living in Bay City, Michigan, where she made friends and bonded with the amazing staff. Marcine is preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Cecelia Resmer, husband, Fred Brazeau, sister, Mary Jane (Robert) Butch and brother-in-law Robert Lauzon. She is survived by her sisters Ceilann Lauzon of Apache Junction, AZ, Paulette (Fred) Kruger of Gillette, WY, and Christine (Scott) Pickvet of Pinconning, Ml. Her seven children: Cathy Brazeau of Muskegon, MI; Cimberly (Mark) Sankey of Tucson, AZ; David (Patt) Brazeau of Beaver, PA; Tammy Brazeau of Pinconning, MI; Peter (Suzanne) Brazeau of Payson, AZ; Steven (Rebecca) Brazeau of Beaverton, MI; and Luann (Bill) Bock of Rhodes, MI. Eleven grandchildren: Christa, Jeff, Kelly, Tiffany, Emily, Rick, Rachel, Austin, Crystal, Codey, and Lindsay. Eleven great-grandchildren: Dylan, Teresa, Gracie, Paige, Charlotte, Brooklyn, Shaunz, Arlene, Lucas, Owen, and Leo. Marcine’s family will miss her dearly. Rest in peace, dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10 am from Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. Fr. Matthew Federico presiding with inurnment in St. Michaels Cemetery. Marcine will lie in state at the church on Saturday, from 9 am until time of mass. In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider that donations be given to St. Michael’s School in Marcine’s honor.
