Robert L. Foor

Robert L. Foor, 93, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen, Indiana.

He was born February 24, 1931 in Gladwin, Michigan to Alva and Jane “Elmira” (Heath) Foor.

On September 3, 1955 he married Betty J. Davies in Standish, Michigan. She died February 17, 2024.

Survivors include four children, Mark (Doris) Foor, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gregory Foor, Sanford, Michigan, Brenda Vought, and Brian (Dawn) Foor, both of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Robert was one of 13 siblings, Ernie, Orvil, Wayne, Eldon, Ervin, Jake “Alva”, Lucille, Madonna, Evalyn, Florence “Tootsie”, Arlene and Janette.

Along with his parents and wife, Betty, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Foor, and grandson, Ryan Foor.

Mr. Foor was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and worked for General Motors for 17 years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.

He enjoyed working outside, birdwatching, and spending time with family in retirement. He made the very best bacon for Sunday breakfasts and will be missed by everyone.

According to his wishes cremation will take place with no services.
