Sharon M. Brent

Sharon Mischelle Brent, age 76 of Bentley, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, at her residence. She was born April 11, 1945, in Standish, Michigan to the late Joseph P. and Julia R. (Belchak) Kopka. Sharon was the 3rd oldest of 8 brothers and sisters and was charged with caring for her younger siblings from an early age. She knew what hard work and responsibility were. Growing up on the family farm, prepared her for life. Sharon was involved in everything. She volunteered at Mt. Forest Elementary, was Den Mother for Cub Scouts, taught CCD classes for many years, got kids involved in the Saginaw Art Museum and she served in her Church in many different ways.

Sharon is survived by her 3 sons; James (Mary) Brent, Joseph (Jennifer) Brent and David Brent and her 4 grandchildren; Shawn, Kendra, Erica, and Jonathan. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Giles C.

The family will greet family and friends Friday, May 28, 2021, from 12 Noon till 8:00 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan where a Prayer Service will be held at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 11 am at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Standish, Michigan with Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner officiating. Cremation will follow.
