Stephen “Steve” M. Skrzysinski
Steve M. Skrzysinski, age 72, of Rhodes, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021, at McLaren Bay Region with his loving wife and children by his side. He was born to the late Frank & Anna (Eilf) Skrzysinski, August 3, 1948, on the family farm in Pinconning, Michigan. Steve married the love of his life Suzanne (Sue) Kanyo on June 22, 1968, celebrating 52 years together. He retired from GM after 29 years of service. Steve always stayed busy with projects at home or for family. Helping family was his #1 priority and taking care of his special garden. He enjoyed listening to old country music and spending time with his family and friends. Steve was a loving (ornery, stubborn) husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Sue, daughter; Tina & Bret Glass, sons; Stevie and Jason Skrzysinski, grandchildren; Zac & Brittany Glass, Lucas Glass, Wesley Grauherr, A. J. and Logan Skrzysinski, Jake Drouse, Ethan Skrzysinski, and step-granddaughter; Destiny Weddel, great-grandchildren; Addie and Paisley Glass. Sisters; Marie (Roger) Roberts, Deloris Oswald, Bernice (Ron) Rivard, Wanda (Jerry) Horetski, brother; Gerard Skrzyinski. His in-laws; Rosy Martin, Mike Kanyo, Betsy Hutek, Edwina Kanyo, Nan (Stan) Sterlecki, Kit Ernst, Pauline Bargeron, Jeanne (Charlie) Piotrowski, and John (Chris) Kanyo.
Steve was preceded in death by his in-laws Steve & Rosina (Offenbecker) Kanyo, sisters; Victoria (Jim) Laborosse, Rozy (Don) Carson, Irene (Sheldon) Lovett, brothers; Butch (Edna), Ed, Don (Helen), Stan and Leon Skrzysinski. In laws; Mary (Norb) Stachowski, Barnie Martin, Steve (Lil) Kanyo, Elaine Kanyo, Stanley Hutek, Joe Kanyo, Lee Bargeron, and Lawrence Ernst.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, June 18, 2021, at 5:30 pm at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Pinconning Chapel, with Kathy Bersano presiding, with cremation to follow. Friends and family may call at the Funeral Home from 1 pm until 7 pm. Please follow Covid guidelines.
