Wendy (Day) Mier
Our cherished Wendy passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2023, after fighting cancer with positivity and fierceness, as we all knew her to be. She was small in stature but had a huge heart & personality. She was a free spirit who loved unconditionally, always sharing positive & encouraging words with everyone (friends or strangers). She will forever be greatly loved, respected and missed by her family and friends, as well as her extended family at U-Haul, where she spent much of her time. She was recently honored for her 15 years of service there as a General Manager.
She was born on October 23, 1961, to LeRoy & Sandy Day of Linwood (Crump) Michigan. They survive her along with her brothers Tim (Stacy) Day, Jeff Day and sister Lisa Miller. Her children and their families: Chad (Kayla) Mier, Addyson & Drake; Ashley (Dre) Mier, DJ, Kai, KeyOnna & Aniken. Her boyfriend of many years, Guy Atwood. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Rivertown Funeral Chapel, Kawkawlin, Michigan with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding. The family greeted friends and family on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 2:00 - 8:00 pm and on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at Rivertown Funeral Chapel.
Her family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to “The Care Team” for all the compassionate care they provided. Special thanks to her nurse Becky who is now considered family.
