William Wilson

William M. Wilson

William “Bill” Wilson, of Pinconning, MI., a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 30, 1944, in Fraser Township, Michigan, at his family home, to the late Raymond & Mary Wilson. William’s journey through life was marked by dedication, service, and a deep love for his family and the land. William proudly served his country as a Military Police officer in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His commitment to his nation was a defining aspect of his character, demonstrating his unwavering sense of duty and honor. After his military service, William embarked on a successful career at Buick City, where he dedicated 30 years before retiring. His work ethic and loyalty to his colleagues were exemplary, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, William was a passionate part-time farmer. His hands were often found in the soil, tending to the crops he loved, with a particular fondness for beans. This love for agriculture extended to his involvement with the Future Farmers of America, where he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with the next generation of farmers. William’s interests were as rich and varied as the life he led. An avid outdoorsman, he relished the times he spent hunting, fishing, and turkey hunting. He found joy in the simple pleasures of camping, picking mushrooms, and going herring fishing in Raber Bay. These activities not only brought him closer to nature but also provided cherished memories with family and friends. Family was the cornerstone of William’s life. He is survived by his children, Brian M. (Julie) Wilson, Bradley R. (Denise) Wilson, and Brandie (Gary) Wilson. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Casey Love, Taylor Riojas, Evan Wilson, Alise Wilson, Darren Wilson, Dara Wilson, and Brady Bergeron, and his three great-grandchildren, Liam Love, Blakelynn, and Parker Riojas. William was predeceased by his beloved wife, Constance Wilson, who passed away on August 26, 2022, as well as his brother Larry Wilson and sister Debbie Wilson. The love and lessons he imparted to his family will be his lasting gift, treasured and carried forward.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, at 1 p.m. from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Kathy Bersano presiding with burial in Fraser Township Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, from 10 am until the time of service.
